Beer Maven Comes to Helena!.png

Fermentana is excited to announce their popular Beer Maven series is hitting the road this fall, as we head to Helena!

As Montana’s first and ONLY beer event series for women and taught by women, Beer Maven offers women the opportunity to expand and develop their beer knowledge through a variety of exciting beer tastings and fun, educational discussions.

Event #1: Basics of Beer

Date: October 2nd from 6-8pm

Location: Crooked Furrow Brewing

Tickets: $25/person

What to expect: In this two-hour workshop with Fermentana cofounder and Certified Cicerone, Loy Maierhauser, we'll hit all the basics of beer - what's in it, how it's made, how to drink it, and how to navigate the overwhelming selection of beer that's available! We'll taste and explore six different beers of varying styles from Crooked Furrow Brewing's varied selection, and you'll walk away with the knowledge and confidence you need for the next time you're out and pondering a tap list.

Event #2: Hops & Beer

Date: October 23rd from 6-8pm

Location: Snow Hop Brewery

Tickets: $25/person

What to expect: In this two-hour workshop, Loy will be diving into hops: what they are, why they're important, and how they affect your beer. You’ll get to know why you might like pale ales more than stouts, why some IPAs taste more bitter than others, exactly what IBUs are, and much more! For this class, we’ve partnered with Snow Hop Brewery, and we’ll taste and explore six different beers that help highlight varying hop attributes.
